Business not sending payment envelopes with paper bills

I get almost no paper bills, and if I do get a paper bill I pay it online and throw the envelope away. They probably get such a small percent of people actually sending payment through the mail that they stopped bothering to send quaint paper envelopes lol.

It been a long time since we received a paper bill. Let alone a return envelope. We moved every thing to edelivery and epayment at least 14 years ago.

We use stamps so infrequently that when we do need one we have to hunt through the drawer to find them.

90% of my bill payments are paid online or through monthly direct bank draw. Getting more risker to pay by mail.

We have a few who still send paper bills with no envelopes--our local plumber, the city sewer and water, and the local garbage. The utilities I can go online and pay. The plumber charges for cc or online pay, so they get a check ( with my own envelop)

It may not seem like a lot of money per customer but that envelope adds up to a lot of money each year. And most people pay online now.
You might want to consider paying online too. When you sent a paper check each time, there is a possibility that the check will be intercepts. Then that scammer "washes" the check to remover the "to" and "amount" information and then rewrites it with a large amount payable to them. That's the last thing you want.

The very few who still send paper bills (and I can't even think of one now), I pay online anyway. Even if they don't have an online payment system, I have my bank send a check.

I don't want the wasted paper, and I'm sure most of these businesses know that for every 10 return envelopes they send, only 1 or 2 get used by customers. The rest are doing what most of us have done for much of this...century?
