Hi, we have a sum coming that we don't want to get taxed on as still moving stuff to Roth aggressively before probable state tax increase and possible new city tax in Chicago which of course is in Illinois. I expect one or both of those to kick in by 2025.

Sum is not huge and is less than our emergency funds but still would throw off unnecessary income unwanted for 2-4 years.

I have thought about stock with little dividends like Berkshire Hathaway.

Maybe a low cost large cap growth fund, but not sure which.

Cash annuity that turns on in say 3-4 years.

Open to ideas, and if there is a current thread i missed on this, please move this there.

Thanks.

Double/triple tax free Illinois/Chicago municipal bonds.
