CEF Holdings --- June 2026

Hi,
I currently hold PAXS at 4% of my CEF portfolio and was looking at the price to nav and both are on the upswing. The MACD is encouraging to. I'm considering increasing my position and am curious what others that hold this CEF think about it?

Regards,
Todd
I was looking to buy (and likely sell something else). I missed the lows on my limit order, now it is surging, but I still have an eye on it.

Hi. Assessing possibilities is where looking at a chart helps. The large white space above essentially ALL bondish CEF products suggests nickels or dines FROM HERE don't make much difference. Plus, these are income investments ---- not trading vehicles. FWIW

Sold DMO -- it served it's purpose on ex-date --- and added ro PTY and RCS. Hopeful on RCS that overearns it's distribution and has modified guidelines to permit higher earnings.

I also exited DMO a few hours ago. Its relatively low trading volume has been troublesome to me. There's other choices out there, including ETFs, with a similar high yield and a much better TR and trading volume.
BTW ... Fido has nicely handled my market (instead of limit) orders when I've been rushed, even with a quite noticeable bid-ask spread on the share price.

I no longer own DMO and that was one of the funds that Fidelity put trade restrictions on for me based on trading volume. Buyer/seller beware.
sold DMO months ago. Bought PTY today at 11.98 (I inadvertently posted this in April 2026, sorry). Some people I'm sure will jump all over me.

Interesting AI "choice" of ECAT. Fine returns, but between 2% and 6% lower total return than SPY for 23-24-25. But lost less than SPY by 4% in rough 2022. Meets expectations for a balanced fund, but a "top pick"?

I'm guessing it was a play on the Saba activism? But I agree, not a great top pick.

I added to my BANX position. To me, along with certain PIMCOs and preferred CEFs, BANX is a foundational, almost hold forever fund.
Just a note of thanks for your time/trouble in posting here. It’s comforting to have a second (are there more here?) professional contributing. For those frequenting SA, see if the Yield-Hunting service there would be of help to you.

PFN has been on a tear, up .27 in a little over a week. It has shot past its NAV and we have several days left before July EX. Where does it go from here, I wonder, thoughts?

I view it as a potential source of funds / swap opportunities if there is something more appealing.

Need these (PIMCO's) to go up another .30, some .60, to get back to even on price (ignoring Div's). Most (PDI is the exception) are positive on a TR basis.

I don't. I sold my position. They will likely have to cut at some point given the massive distribution and inability to cover AUM loss from the ATM program. However, given how large they've growth the fund they could potentially continue to pay 20%+ for the foreseeable future and only lose about $300M-$400M in assets over the next ~9 months.
