This year we added a mega tree to the house lights which consists of a 10 foot tall galvanized steel 1-1/4" pole with 2000 individual controllable led lights strung from it to a 5 foot diameter ring we made from a strip of aluminum. The base has two 60 amp 12V power supplies in a snow-proof box. Worked out well. My wife added in some tree effects to the old songs and did a new song, Rockin around the Christmas Tree. It takes a reasonably long time to edit the effects to synchronize to the music. Cars can tune in to 89.3FM to have both sound and light (we don't blast the neighborhood with both light AND sound lol). We only run it from 5pm to 8pm and turn the brightness only to 60%.

My favorite is still Let It Snow. Just very peaceful.

Heh, heh, anyone think they can beat this guy?

Fermion--Thanks for sharing, these are great!
How long does it take you to do all of this?

Setting up last years props is pretty quick, about a day total. The mega tree took a good 4 days of running around to the hardware store and making the base then about a day to put all the parts together.
