Ran across this Reddit thread today and found the below chart well done and a real eye opener. Lots of interesting stats as you scroll though it. Not sure how accurate it is and it is a few years old but it sure gives you a different perspective than looking at a $ with numbers behind it. Best to view on a computer as there is a lot of scrolling involved.

Did not go through the whole thing.... kinda got hit by the liberal statement that said nobody deserves to have this much money.... we live in a capitalistic society which allows people to gain huge sums of wealth... but also allows almost anybody to gain some kind of wealth if they do a few things right...

Most the of biggest holders of wealth eventually give it away... later in life or after death...

And most people in America has the same opportunity to make a billion... it is just hard to do... and some luck..

IIRC Apple almost went bust... I read that Tesla almost went under also... a few thing going different and we do not have these trillion companies (well, Tesla is not there but still big)

Not sure about Amazon or Microsoft... I think Amazon had problem and lost money for many years... I think Microsoft was a winner from the beginning due to IBM...

OHHH, decided to add.... now you can make a trillion!!
