Next Costco purchase must be a new phone from one of the Big 3 cell service providers who haunt Costco stores. This is going to be a costly mistake for you.But no phone app for flip phones.![]()
I made that mistake a long time ago when T-Mobile first rolled out the now-defunct 55+ plan. Got the cheapest Android phone available!Next Costco purchase must be a new phone from one of the Big 3 cell service providers who haunt Costco stores. This is going to be a costly mistake for you.![]()
You obviously don't live in Hawaii. We have the busiest Costco stores in the nation. On Christmas Eve, Costco closed early at 5 pm. The weather was gloomy. I drove over at 4:15, bought gas, parked and pushed a cart from the parking lot into the store. There was no line to enter the warehouse. Got a case of Fairlife Chocolate Protein Shakes #1485984. There was no line at the self-checkout stand, or to exit the warehouse. Amazing but totally true!
A real-estate developer in Los Angeles is testing a new blueprint for affordable housing: stack apartments on top of a Costco.
Thrive Living is planning to begin construction in early 2025 on an 800-unit affordable-housing complex with the megaretailer on the ground floor
Not sure I'd want to live over a loading dock with all the trucks and fork lifts going "beep-beep-beep-beep..." 24/7. YMMVApparently, you will soon be able to live on top of a Costco warehouse:
From today’s online version of the WSJ.
Common in NYC also. And other big U.S. cities.Wow, that sounds crazy!
But in European cities it’s very common to have apartments built on top of retail on the ground floor.

One thing we've noticed whenever we're in Europe is that the solid construction of the windows and doors is amazing -- really blocks the noise from the street below or hallway noise in apartment buildings. We have tried (and failed) to find similar grade doors and windows here when remodeling our house. Just could not find the same quality. I definitely wouldn't want to live above a Costco here in the US!Wow, that sounds crazy!

But just think you could have a $1.50 hot dog with soft drink or a $10 pizza any time from 10am to 8:30pm/6pm every day of the week just a couple of floor below you.Not sure I'd want to live over a loading dock with all the trucks and fork lifts going "beep-beep-beep-beep..." 24/7. YMMV
Best to use the stairs if you live above Costco - just saying! But just think you could have a $1.50 hot dog with soft drink or a $10 pizza any time from 10am to 8:30pm/6pm every day of the week just a couple of floor below you.
Thanks for reminding me of the browser option. I logged on to Costco web site from my Mac Mini browser. The receipt had a working Print button. Go figure!Hmm I only ever looked at prior receipts online via a browser.
There is no print option, but I was able to select what’s in the receipt and copy.
Oh great! I’ll have to try from my MacBook. Thanks for reminding me of the browser option. I logged on to Costco web site from my Mac Mini browser. The receipt had a working Print button. Go figure!
I'll look forward to that when I go to Costco Gas in a couple more weeks. It's interesting that some gas stations are already more expensive than Costco and they also want to charge for using a CC. Now, Costco is offering an even higher rebate. Nice.I bought gas at my local Costco today and noticed the new discount sign on the pump. If you pay for your gas at Costco with the Costco Citi card, the rebate is now 5%. Non Costco gas stations are still 4%.
