Doge tends to run threads off the rails so maybe let's leave it out of this one.

We can talk about spending and savings without commenting about that.

Well isn't it always "under pressure" for one reason or another?

;)
Yeah, there is that. Someone's always writing an article how the 4% rule should be the 3% or 6% rule! It makes good click bait.

Billions…

“Starts with a B, ends with a B. Ten seconds, Bob.”

Obscure line, exhibit A. Or is it B?

Certainly some of the numbers have had to be walked back, but I’m not up-to-date on that. And AFAIK some of the people let go were either unlawfully? released or were actually performing a vital something, have to be reinstated. Seems a bit early to claim victory, as it were.

Under pressure? ZZ Top… 😉

So we are just discussing the issue not claiming victory ...would you care to join in?

I don’t believe much real progress has been made, either identifying fraud, waste, and abuse, or necessarily reducing the deficit. I was attempting to say that in a lighter-hearted way, but obviously failed. Better?
