Currently on a cruise including Australia and New Zealand, the (expensive) internet package justified as trying to keep track of developments on our house in Altadena CA. So I am still 'connected'. The question might arise why post at all? Well its a day at sea on the way to Tasmania so its a day of reading, made up games, too much food and plenty of time without shore activities. Actually like these days at sea. Enjoying the lack of activity.

I guess posting here helps amortize the outrageous cost of the expensive internet. Glad you checked in with us.

Have a great cruise (please take lots of pictures to share).

We did a cruise from NZ to AUS last year with a planned stop in Tasmania but one of the 4 engines was having some problems so we ended up with 3 days in Tasmanian sea. I'm not a big fan of too much time at sea but it turned out fine. Our ship had plenty of books and we attended a couple of presentations on WWII Brit MI6 and MI5 or what they were at the time, presented by a fellow at a historical society dedicated to the Brit intelligence of the time. Some of it very interesting.
We really enjoyed the trip.

That is great!! I hope you share some pictures.

Good check in. We have gone a few cruises and do tend to do excursions or check out the local place. Now that we are retired, the concept of destressing at the pool for example is not needed.

Are you by chance on the NCL Star? We have friends doing that same cruise route now.

Would love to go to Australia and New Zealand, but the long flight is keeping me from it. Post pics!

We enjoy the days at sea as long as you are in the MSC Snot Yacht Club or similar ship within a ship. Being out in the GP (General Population) can be tedious. :)

Nice! Doing our first cruise next month and it has lots of days at sea. I’m curious how we will like them.

Enjoy your trip. Did a similar one just before Covid. So far, best cruise I’ve ever been on.

We did that cruise on a 21 day RCI Oz/NZ cruise. One of our favourite. Booked it very last minute while we were traveling around the Australia's Gold Coast.

The highlight for us cruising Milford Sound for a full day. The weather was spectucular-warm, sunny, clear blue sky. The on board retired park ranger who did the running commentary said it was one of the nicest days in years. We were lucky. It was our favorite sea day of any cruise that we have been on.

Enjoyed it so much we returned a few years later for a driving tour of Tasmania.

Hope that you have a wonderful trip, great weather, and calm seas.
