Guys, I have a question for all of you. I've discovered that my stats for success rate are off by a lot and contacted NYT to point out the problem to them. They're kind of brushing it off; so I wondered if others had the same issue. If you total up your correct solutions, and divide by the number of plays, do the success rates match up in the stats? As an example, I have something like 2200 correct solutions out of about 2600 attempts. The stats say my success rate is 98%, which is obviously way off. Does yours match up?

Mine is spot on. Guess I'm not surprised they are not responsive to your issue. I am pretty sure they incorrectly reset my streak count one time.

IIRC, they don't include the X/6 or misses in the success ratio. So their success ratio will be higher than your ratio, even if you have unsuccessful solves of the puzzle.

After my long success streak was broken, my success rate was reset to 100%, but my non successful tries were still included in the games played, so there appears to be various types of statistical errors.

Mine was basically right on as well (a tenth of a percent off, maybe they hadn't counted that day's results yet?)

Correct. Why would they? I'm not following you but here is my stat page. 1250 solved/1356 played = .9218
