Do it yourself Home AC Maintenance

Your units are referred to as "mini-splits."

Were I building a home w/o access to natural gas they are what I'd use today.

A "split" system is the conventional setup with the compressor outside & the evaporator inside connected to an extensive arrangement of duct work.
Mini-splits it is! No natural gas line for us here.

I can't tell from the photo, but I do not see an overflow switch for the condensate pan ... given this is in the attic area, an overflow could be expensive to repair.

It is not uncommon to see two drains - at slightly different levels - as a backup, but there should be an overflow with which will turn off the entire system if it senses an overflow.
