Do we still go to concerts? What concerts have you attended in the last few years?

I was going to comment on this earlier as well. I started listening to Yes way back in high school around 1976/77 and consider them one of my favorite bands of all time. I saw them a few times in concert and they were fantastic. Now however, it is just not the same. I would rather see Jon Anderson and the band Geeks doing the Yes material any day. Steve Howe is the only long-time member remaining and must have rights to the band name. They are still a very good band, but I am nostalgic for some of the classic line ups. Have trouble even considering them as Yes without Anderson, Rick Wakeman, Chris Squire and Alan Whites or Bill Bruford.
i've seen jon anderson + band geeks & and they're good. Jon's voice is still quite good given the miles that are on it. i normally don't go with "remnant bands" but i enjoyed them.

Living in Vegas we went to a lot of concerts the first few years but have slowed down as it's too expensive... but the Eagles at the Sphere was AWESOME! HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!
Oh those rascally Eagles. Henley says: "We won't play together until hell freezes over." And Frey says: "I rule out the possibility of a lost youth and greed tour."

Time passes, hell froze over, youth was lost and greed took over. They toured in 1994.

Concert pricing was NEVER the same again.

When other acts were selling tickets for $15 to $40, Eagles started at about $80 and easily sold out. The world literally changed. Not just concerts, but all live entertainment. We have not recovered from that earthquake yet.

That said, from what I've seen of their live performance videos, they are excellent. I'm not a big fan, but I'd see them if it was easy and affordable. Too bad Frey is gone. Not my cup of tea, but as part of the whole, he added counterpoints to the others. When the big lineup was together playing their respective guitar parts, it is really impressive. These guys are all good.

So now they are playing at the sphere, I guess the core of the earth has frozen over? Ha ha.

You summed up my general feelings. I am not an Eagles "fan" necessarily but I loved it and same for my wife. Neither of us went in as massive Eagles fans but the whole experience with music you know, great musicians and the Sphere make it a great event... even for the ridiculous ticket prices!

I just saw a video of the new version of Rush playing at the Juno Awards (Canadian Grammys). They last toured in 2015 when Neil Peart was alive, now they have a new drummer and a keyboard player.

I got in the queue to see them on their now EIGHTY-FIVE concert tour for 26/27 but seats that weren't a joke were about $400 each. Nope. I saw them seven times, I'll leave this one for the people who need to check off a bucket list item. I'm sure there will be a tour DVD anyway. Assuming they sell out every date, they are giving themselves a nice big, fat going away present. Unless they come back again.

Geddy's voice was...not good. Hopefully he can "play his way into shape', or they may end up having to do the Who thing where backup singers actually carry the tunes. At some point.....

Gary Numan came to town yesterday, probably best remembered for his 1979 hit "Cars." But he's been active musically all along, and seems to have a significant following.
Anyway, we caught his show, and it was pretty entertaining. Costumes included the bass and lead guitarists in black caftans with shaved heads, looking like the character in Edvard Munch's "Scream." The light show was elaborate, and the stage smoke generators set off the fire alarms a couple times (at first we thought it was a synth effect).
The overall impression was of a poor man's David Bowie, but Bowie is dead and Numan lives. So he has that going for him.

We are going to see CSNY Saturday.... Row 4.... $23 a seat..... OK its a tribute band..... But the college auditorium has great acoustics.
