So I just sent this note to my boss........

Please consider this e-mail to be my notice that 15 OCT 2024 will be my last day of full-time employment in support of _________.
I’m still interested in the __(different full time)______ job which is currently vacant, or I would consider staying in my current role on a part-time basis .....
I’ve been doing this for nearly 7 years and it’s simply time to make a change.

Let's see what happens now. I sent that to my company boss as well as my federal government boss/client. Either they get me one of the 2 options I offered, or I'm taking some serious time off from work! If I never work again, I calculate my SWR to be at 2.05%. Life is good!

Good job, putting the action on them. Let them decide what they want to do, you win any option. However since your withdrawal rate is so low, why not just fully retire?

Good question, I'm open to doing some work because I find it to be easy money and there's a lot of great people there. I don't hate it, but I'm ready for something different.
