Just to be sure I understand the news . . . we are expecting drug prices to increase?

Does this mean the part D cap changes or you just hit it sooner?

I'm not on Medicare and so merely idle curiosity.

Apologies if this violates a rule - please remove if so.

I thought it odd this wasn't being discussed. . . it looks like they can't negotiate drug prices going forward now?

It's better for the drug companies too!
I'm ignorant on this subject. Did the original exec order lower payments TO drug companies or just change somewhat WHO pays them? I do not know. Thanks.

Moving to Public Policy Forum. As always please keep partisan politics out of the discussion so those interested can engage.

Where did you read about a repeal? Fake news?

Well it doesn't look "fake" to me. But I'm not sure an EO being repealed can change a signed law.

I figured someone here on Medicare/insulin would explain it to me but I guess I shouldn't have brought it up.

This will better explain it. The repeal is a separate thing and it does not affect the $35 insulin prices and the other $2K max per year that went into effect this year.

Thanks, that lays it out clearly.

Different bill/law from one that is repealed. The repealed one is an exploratory one for $2 copay.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm not at all up on these changes and appreciate the assistance from our members here.
