Energy prices , Miracle Tech and Stock Fraud

The fax machine at the office  has been working overtime spitting-out un-solicited "Stock market news letters" . You know the ones ,penny stock crap.

A lot are unknown energy technology companies with "Breakthrough" technology that want you to "Get in on the ground floor". It's getting kind of deep with $70 oil.

IIRC ,  about 15 or 20 years ago, a "Cold Fusion" breakthrough by 2 research grad's at univ. of ?       Big deal and lot's of news media.
   It was not much more than a theory and a glass jar with wires and lots of bubbles.

They just needed a couple of billion $ to perfect it.

I find these faxes quite usefull , along with junk mail. It helps us meet our paper recycle quota for the office.

It was Texas A&M University, home of the Fightin' Aggies. They also invented a perpetual motion machine (that only needed winding once a week)

I'm starting to get a lot of this stuff by email.

I was really amused by one email that said something to the effect that this "market research" is intended for paying customers only and that if you receive it by mistake you should delete it and not trade based on the information.

The amount I get via eMail seems to have gone up about 5X since I ERed 6 weeks ago. I wonder what I did to trigger the increase. I'm suspicious of the Fools. I registered for some of their free stuff and I did buy some books off Amazon. May just be a coincidence or maybe I just deleted it without thinking about it before I ERed.
