ETRADE: Does your balance fluctuate

Fluctuate as in - for no reason that you can identify?

There's times where my ETRADE account I feel doesn't make sense. The balance I 'feel' is a few bucks off. By balance I mean the total total number, cash plus equities.

Last night, 10:04pm just to experiment, I took a screenshot.

Total balance: 1,575,799.92

Now this morning......

1,575,770.45: MathWiz that I am, I know that's LOWER by $29.47

The *sole* activity that happened (which I expected) were dividends (TJX 48.21. DSU 86.95)

SO.,,,,my balance should be #135.16 *more*.........yet, I am MINUS 29 bucks.

This isn't the first time I felt this was happening, but it is the first time I screen-shotted the night before and looked first thing in morning.

Has anyone else had this?

The same thing happens in my Fidelity account. Some investments take longer to update value than others. I often find that a day is not final until the next morning.

I see it happen now and then with my Schwab account. I generally can track it down to a single investment (usually a stock) that has a different price. I usually blame it on trading that occurs outside of business hours.
