What are some of your favorite Christmas movies? Doesn't matter how sappy or corny, my wife insists we watch them all.

Some of our favorites.

Christmas Vacation
Little Women - 1994 with Winona Ryder (My wife's favorite)
Prancer - 1989
A Christmas Story - 2007 (Norweigen)

The Gathering - Ed Asner 1976

A Christmas Story - Little Ralphie and his Red Rider BB gun

I watch several each year, some already mentioned and I'm sure many more will be.

I added a new one last year. The Crossing. Not exactly a Christmas movie but it is set on Christmas Day.

There's about a dozen movies with that title. Any idea what year?

DW insists we watch Sound of Music and It's a Wonderful Life every year. I can pretty much recite all the lines.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
and the more sentimental and sophisticated/artsy side of me ...White Christmas and Wonderful Life

A Biltmore Christmas.

Yes, it's a Hallmark movie with familiar themes, but, IMO, it is a huge improvement over the norm.

A modern young woman with a bit of a hard heart is unexpectedly time-traveled back to the 1947 Biltmore Hotel as it gets ready for its Christmas extravaganza.

Trekkies will notice some of the cast is familiar. Why not? Some of them have already time traveled.

When I was a kid, my brother and I got a 12" B&W TV for Christmas. That night White Christmas was on, and we watched it. We watched it every Christmas for a number of years. It still brings back fond memories.

The Santa Claus is really good.

Violent Night was surprisingly good. We may have to watch it again.

I am partial to jingle all the way also. Plus all the 1960s animated specials. I also try to watch emmit otters christmass. That was a Jim Henson special if I remember corectly.

The Bishop’s Wife is also pretty good. It stars Cary Grant and a host of great character actors. Grant plays an angel who comes to Earth to save a Minister who has lost his way in regards to his Church and his family.

The more modern remake is The Preacher’s Wife. Details and characters are vastly different from the Cary Grant version, and it’s worth watching.

Holiday Inn. The first appearance of White Christmas.
Not a movie, but the Christmas episode of Ted Lasso is so good that DW and I have put it in our annual rotation. Season 2 episode 4.

We watched Frosty last night
My wife loves It's a Wonderful Life
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town...love the Burgermeister Meisterburger!!
Elf
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
My wife told me to say : Love Actually.....
White Chrismas

Our shared calendar is marked with when the shows are on
