Hah! I totally forgot the "Ogga-Chukka" part of that! It's such a "pop song" vibe, that seems totally out of place. And then they bring it back later in the tune. Crazy, but it worked! I never would have had the nerve to try to put that into a song for general release.

Let's see AI come up with something that far out of left field, and make it work!
Intriguing that the campy Blue Swede cover charted higher than BJ Thomas' original 1968 release.

Green Onions by Booker T and the MGs. It's also a great instrumental song.

A lot of good ones here. I'm going to change it up a bit. This song has special memories for me. Whenever I hear it start up the volume gets cranked.

As a former radio/party DJ in college and a few years afterwards, The song intros that instantly brought people onto the dance floor from that time are embedded in my mind. For me, the top five ten that come quickly come to mind, in no particular order:

Parliament - Flashlight
Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music
Earth Wind & Fire - Shining Star
The Clash - Rock the Casbah
Chic - Good Times
Sister Sledge - We Are Family

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
Prince - 1999

Beethoven's 5th
Vivaldi's Spring
Bach - Toccata & Fugue in D Minor ( On a huge pipe organ. No, I mean a huge pipe organ. )
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Three Steps
Zeppelin - Ten Years Gone
Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Too many others to list.

Neil Diamond Hot August Nights......The way these two songs flow into each other in the album. Kudos to dear dad for sharing this with us when we were kids.

In 1975-1976 our small town high school pep band had a guy who had an electric guitar.

When our basketball team charged out of the locker room before home games the pep band would play "Smoke on the Water" They gave the guitar player a 30 second solo at the start before the rest of the pep and kicked in.. and he was good. You could feel the electricity from his guitar when you were a kid in the bleachers. The other team didn't know what to do.

It was so loud that the asbetos ceiling tiles would start to crack and dust would fall on your head.

Whenever I hear "Smoke on the water" I go back to being a 4th grader in the bleachers in that old gymnasium. Our team went 18-0 that season.

I’ll go with some randoms I don’t think were mentioned and my fav bands are Pearl Jam and Live, but growing up in the 80’s/90’s my music taste was the 50’s 60’s and 70’s, for perspective.

Guns n Roses:
Welcome to the jungle
November rain

Pink Floyd:
Shine on You Crazy Diamond

Live:
Beauty of gray

Pearl Jam
Release

I was born the year it was released so I didn't hear it right away, but the opening of the Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" deserves a mention. It came to Keith Richards in a dream, he says.
