Hi,

Before Fidelity, I was at the Morningstar forum before they really screwed the pooch with a "new and improved upgraded forum" ... not.

Currently, I'm typing this from Barbados, a lovely place to avoid New England winters and to enjoy the lovely beaches and play a lot of golf.

Golf is a passion of ours. I also love movies and I'm a collector of original vintage movie posters.

I turned 70 in January and started Social Security. We have two boys and we've been married for 37 years.

Overall, when I consider my life so far, I feel blessed, fortunate and humble.

Now, true disclosure .... I have no idea what dryer sheets are.

Yeah, I also ultimately bailed from Morningstar when they totally screwed up the forum and I couldn’t hardly find anything. The Fidelity Forum at Morningstar had become considerably less active anyway. I had already found this place many years earlier.

Dryer sheets is a joke about members here being so frugal they reuse dryer sheets (like Bounce). I never used dryer sheets at all so it never clicked for me. But seriously, most members here were incredibly frugal during their pre-retirement years, saving and investing so that they could retire early.

Welcome Junkanoo, I think you will like it here. It's not Barbados, but you won't burn!

If you are ever going to make the list of dangerous radicals who infest this site you are going to have to learn to use dryer sheets twice, and then save the used sheet for dusting and cleaning.

Welcome to one of the best all around quality of life sites on the internet.

I thought it was tearing the dryer sheet in half and thus using two of them.
Same result in the end.

Welcome from an old Connecticut Yankee now stuck in Texas (it's not so bad as I kid a lot). Sounds like you are having a nice winter visit! Long time golfer here too, but at 81, I'm just missing shooting my age these days. Oh well, at least I am playing!

Welcome junkanoo. We love beaches and warm weather so much that we moved from the frozen tundra of the midwest to Hawaii following retirement.

Enjoy your time in Barbados. We look forward to your inputs here.
