Financial advisor for flat fee or hourly? Not tied to any financial services

Pay the one-time fee for access to Right Capital first to see if you think you'll actually get any additional value from something or someone else.

I bought from this guy.

Watch his YT videos as well.

I visistied his website but his minimum is more than my current amount. But I'll keep it in mind in case I give it a try regardless. At the very least I'll check out the videomercials. Thanks.

I think you would love the RightCapital retirement planning software. I have been using it for over 2 years now. Lots of videos and case studies using the software on YouTube.

Where do I get the RC software? Or, is their Root software RC?

As mentioned in a previous post, you get access to the software from Root Financial.

Now, I noticed today that this guy in this video was offering free access to the RightCapital software. I don't know anything about this guy so you may be taking a risk.

Got it. It was not clear to me if ROOT was an in-house developed software or if it was RC rebranded. I am going to take a stab at it.

I have been looking for something like this for a long time. After reading the comments here I found a number of pay services for other s/w (e.g. Pralana, ProjectionLab, PlanVision).

I have access to Right Capital, for which I paid a one time fee around 3-4 yrs back, but I do not have access to its updates & newer features I see it has now such as Taxes 1040 etc...

How do I get access to them ?

You need to contact the advisor that gave you the access.

Be very careful. Holding a CFPdoes not make the person a fiduciary. The person may be a fiduciary by virtue of his employer being a registered investment advisor but stand alone the CFP is not a fiduciary.
True. You gotta ask and, hopefully, get it in writing.

I saw G-Man suggest Root Financial as a source for RC. I did a little research (ongoing) and discovered RC also is a tool available to Schwab Advisor Partners, although oddly Schwab doesn't provide access for their employee advisors.

I checked Root, but their is no pricing model on the site and you have to fill out a form for them to contact you. Does anyone have info on how they price their services ? I realize some people may want a lot of hand holding, but many of us here would prefer a less expensive solution similar to PlanVision .

They offer a low fixed rate fee for 1st year and then you can subscribe to optional annual membership. The company only provides access to eMoney though.

Does anyone know of a similar advisor group using Right Capital ?

I've reached out to several RC advisors, all of them want to build up a plan and charge $$$ accordingly. I already have a plan and just looking for a good tool like Right Capital so I can model a few components. I would go with PlanVision if they used RC instead of eMoney.

TIA
David

Again, I bought access to Right Capital from this guy for the one-time fee.

See his videos for how to do so.

No need to fill out a form...IIRC, that's to become an AUM client at Root.

That is the same guy I got my access through as well. One-time fee for lifetime access to RC.
