Flu Vaccine Costco versus Dr’s Office.

There are a few vaccines commonly given at a doctor's office, but flu certainly isn't one of them (although it can be given there). It's a normal Part B item, so there is clearly a misunderstanding at your Costco pharmacy.

It’s just so bizarre because we’ve gotten flu shots at Costco before no problems being covered, DH was on Medicare, and we got our Covid shots at Costco a months ago both on Medicare no problem. They presented this as a recent change that affected certain readily available vaccines.

Ironically our doctor’s office is much closer and therefore more convenient. No paperwork at all either, just walk in. They always carry the flu shots. The never carry the Covid vaccine.

We recently got our flu shots at Costco, no problem and no cost to us. Maybe it's related to which state you live in.

My doctor told me that the corporation that bought out the company that bought out the company that bought out their private practice does not want to do flu or other routine shots. Patients are instructed to get the shots at a local pharmacy.
