I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. A few years ago when I started reading a few books about investing and finally figured out why they call brokers, brokers, I felt like doing the same thing. I just wouldn't do good in jail so I just moved my $ to Vanguard instead. I should have known something was up because every year my broker would send me pictures of his kids at Christmas. The Christmas pictures have to be some sort of inside joke among brokers.
