I applied for and received TSA Precheck a couple of years ago, so I have a Known Traveler Number. I am trying to apply for Global Entry. I can’t submit the application because I keep getting an error saying my my name/date of birth don’t match my KTN. I have repeatedly double checked this information. I have tried entering my name in all caps and mixed case. I have tried with both my first and middle name in the middle name box as well as first name in one box and middle name in the middle name box. Any hints on how to get this to work?

Do you have an online account for your TSA Precheck? It should show you you current info.

CBP migrated from the old GOES system to a new one and there have been reports of data migration issues.
Go to the CBP page and submit a trouble ticket and explain the problem, hope you get it sorted out. TSA precheck and Global entry make travel less painful, especially after coming off a long international flight. Now baggage pickup is another story!

I have TSA PRECHECK login. That is where I double checked my KTN number. I have contacted CBO customer service. Guess I’m at wait and see now.

Does your TSA Precheck account show your correct birth date?

You can use Mobile Passport Control, almost as fast as Global Entry since it has a special line. You need a cellphone and an app where you quickly enter basic info on landing.

Thanks for the Mobile Passport Control suggestion. I will use that.

I’m still going to try for Global Entry if I can just figure out the name mismatch. My name and birthdate are pretty simple and straightforward so I’m not sure what I am missing. I got a credit card that reimburses fee and we will be returning from an international trip this spring, so I wanted to go ahead with this. It is very frustrating that something so simple is messing me up.
