What happens when you have too much money for research.

Fabian Cousteau has designed and built a small submersible that looks like and mimics the maneuvers of a great white shark. He is using this to study them in a 'jane goodall' manner, and finding that they behave quite differently around the 'fake shark' than a diver in a cage.

Now what could possibly go wrong?

He does have an 'escape hatch' in the top of the sharks 'head' to get out if something happens. Imagine the surprise when the 'alpha shark' pokes the submersible and damages it and a human comes popping out of the 'sharks' head. :D

Geez, they probably said the same thing about Jacques when he started fooling around with his Aqualung...
... but they could probably have a computer do most of the work of that shark without having to put in a human pilot.

Mmmm-- crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside!
