A little detail before my question.
I have had some shoulder and knee problems, 3 weeks after a course of Methylprednosolone (steroid), I had high White Blood Cell count, Absolute Lymphocytes, Absolute Monocytes, and Absolute Neutrophils. Doc said, ya, that's the Methylprednosolone, so retest. But again I had a course of Methylprednosolone, then 3 months later had a blood test with those still high except the Absolute Neutrophils were normal. OK, retest BUT again 3 months after shot of Methylprednosolone, This time high White blood cell count and Absolute Lymphocytes but normal Absolute Monocytes and Absolute Nuetrophils. So, I have dropped one high test twice, will this continue? (mostly a rhetorical question)
Doc has given me the choice, wait 3 months and retest, this will be 6 months after the last steroid shot, or go see a hematologist now.
Has anyone else had these tests and have results higher then normal after Steroids? How long did it take to settle back to normal.
