How Many Primary Homes Have You Bought?

From the "Is your primary residence paid off" thread, I thought it would be fun to see how many primary homes have you owned throughout your life? Doesn't matter if you had/have a mortgage or owned outright or have HELOC or whatever else. No second vacation homes or rental you lived in, just what number of primary homes have you bought or inherited and lived in.

For myself, I am currently in house number 8, having moved for work several times.

First one when I was 25. Last one 4 weeks ago.

14 or 15 years in the 1st, coming up on 21 years in this one.

Four for me. The first three were while moving around on active duty in the Navy. The fourth was bought shortly after retiring from active duty, and I'm still here.

Three. The first one was sold during the divorce to split the appreciation after four years of ownership. I bought the second one by myself and lived there for 16 years, 14 with DW. After retirement we bought this one in WV, where we've been for 23 years. This is also the longest either one of us has ever lived in one spot. There's probably one more move in our future to a CCRC.

One, built to order. I regularly try to find something better, but no luck yet. Rented for a couple decades.

Two. First one for 5 years and had 4 children so moved. Second one has been 30 years. Hoping to buy third and final in next year or two on the downsize.

I have one more move left in me and that should be to the cemetery.

I’m on house number 9. I have lived in 5 states and moved 30 times.

Only one, but it's the 33rd place I have lived and the only single family home.

I am on home number 5 primary that I have bought. It maybe my last or my second last. Time will tell.

4 counting the trailer mobile home manufactured housing I bought within a year of working after college.

5 homes including condo ownership. At most one more buy.

We have made large geographic moves 3 times. But within each area we only owned one house. So four total.

As much as we like this house, I hope we find another we like enough to move.

There will likely be a 3rd, maybe a 4th.

Four and there will be a fifth unless we decide to rent our next place to live.

Just 4 for us. Next stop(s) will probably be rental(s) of some sort. Eventually I'll downsize to a one bedroom ~16 sq ft unit.

Eight total. Five were during the 15 years after graduating college when first the military then my first employer moved us around frequently. We've been in our current house 26 years.

Two. The first was a four bedroom split foyer before we had the two kids. Paid 152k in 1991. We moved to this one in 2006. Hoping for another 20 years before downsizing or assisted living.

Total of 8. Bought one and built the other seven.

Three homes for us. A condo a few months after we married. A small "starter" home a few years later, after we had more than one child. And our current "dream" home that we have been in 35+ years.
