Congratulations.
Congrats!!!It probably took me longer than I would have preferred since I switched to a more "conservative" route in investing after the 2000 crash. Turned 54 this past May and plan of FIRE next summer. Make almost $100K/year and have a military/VA pension (and can start collecting a small FERS pension when I'm 62). I know my net worth will fluctuate along the way...rent is due tomorrow lol..., but having guaranteed income streams makes the decision to FIRE somewhat easier than most. THANK YOU to everyone on this site for your advice, guidance, and insight along the way. Cheers!
Congratulations from a fellow "Class of 2025" alumni.Turned 54 this past May and plan of FIRE next summer.
ha ha ha .... yes, that is what happened to me... it dipped down then up, then down, then up.Congratulations. But just keep in mind that there may be times (especially the first few months) when it dips below 1 million . Just don't panic and stay the course.
