I already have an antenna in my attic connected to my 4 tuner legacy Tablo. Depending on weather, I pull 65 to 81 channels. Most are sub-channels.
I have a second antenna in my attic which is connected to a big ole TV in my living room. The quality of picture on that big ole TV is fantastic. I have a Synology NAS running Plex. I have made audio playlists galore. I do not use Plex for ripped movies or free Plex movie and tv content. Recently upgraded to a Plex Pass.
I was thinking about redirecting that second antenna into a Silicon Dust HD Homerun and using my Plex Pass to record movies and shows to my NAS. I would also use it for watching live TV. This would essentially duplicate my Tablo setup for only the price of whatever HD Homerun I choose to buy.
I have questions for you:

I have questions for you:
- Of the 3 that are currently available, should I buy the most expensive? It has ATSC 3.0 but who needs it? I see that they won't be broadcasting 3.0 for years.
- How is the Live TV picture quality through your Homerun and Plex?
- Do you like Plex's channel guide? Is it free? Can you exclude certain channels? Does it lump in the Plex free channels in the guide?
- Streaming Plex audio playlists outside the network is easy and flawless. Is watching live TV and recorded TV flawless?
- Is setting up recording of a TV series easy? How about movies? With Tablo I can pick movies 2 weeks in advance. How about Plex?
- Any other pointers?
- I see that there is an HD Homerun app and you can connect a hard drive directly to your HD Homerun. Is there any advantage to doing this? I see a downside in that you have to pay $35 a year for the guide.
