If we add one more video streaming service, what should it be?

We also upgraded to YouTube premium since we both watch a lot of content. Mostly golf, woodworking, and music videos for me. And there is a huge bonus; YouTube Music is included. It’s the best music streaming service I have tried, with a very large library. The car I bought last year has Apple Play, so I just connect my phone and tell Siri to start a playlist on YT Music, it’s awesome!

We have Netflix and we get Disney+ with Hulu+Live, and that’s all we need ongoing. We add Apple TV+ to binge watch about once a year, great content but not enough to pay year round, we got HBOMax free for a while, but never re-upped.

I watch free YouTube more than any other source. We also get a lot of good free content from the Roku channel.

Tubi is free and has many great older shows (we just rewatched Doc Martin on Tubi). There are ads on Tubi but not too many. We will probably sign up for Apple Plus when the new season of Ted Lasso comes on. We subscribe to Paramount Plus because we watch a lot of Star Trek.

My vote would be Apple TV and watch Severance, For All Mankind, Silo, then cancel it.

HBO Max and Paramount+ are worth checking out for a month each, IMHO. At the Sojourner household, Netflix and HBO Max are the only streaming services we keep month after month, year after year. We also have Amazon Prime Video but don't watch it very much due to all the ads. And we dip in and out of Paramount+, Shudder, AMC+, and a few others intermittently.

Also worth watching on Apple TV: Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Dark Matter, Presumed Innocent, Masters of the Air, Hijack, The Gorge (movie), Greyhound (movie), The Family Plan (movie).

Britbox or Acorn sound like a good match, at least for a month or two. Hulu has some foreign content and some movies that may interest you -- we get a bundle but it the other channels may not align with your interests. There are some on Kanopy. Certain countries have streaming services available in the US, like FranceTV with a full catalog of movies (usually with subtitles available). We had that for a while.

We get Paramount Plus via Walmart+ which comes with the Amex card. There is a version with Showtime as well. The content definitely is getting parceled out. We have Peacock included via another source. They are starting to get some original content but nothing that may appeal to you.

Sigh, we have too many overlapping services and may have tried them all.

I just axed our Discovery Plus sub. They did not put Naked and Afraid Last One Standing on the streaming, even though it is being broadcast right now. Guess they didn't want my $10.

I just signed up for Acorn TV through the Roku channel, 2 months for $4. Originally planned to sign up for Starz but they still have not released the final season of Outlander so I'll wait till that happens so I can binge watch from start to finish.

YouTube. It’s about $15/month to nuke the commercials. Several of the other streaming services’ series and movies is found on YouTube. It’s also where we watch our favorite PBS shows.

MHZ Choice might fit your needs. It's mostly foreign shows from all over with subtitles. I have never used it but read some good things from those that have. $8 for a month, $80 for a year.
Thank you, nassa. I had not heard of this service!

The only service I pay for is Acorn, which I got for the Brokenwood series, a quirky New Zealand police detective series. Dramedy may describe it. They just added Season 11 and I haven't tired of it yet, though I stop watching periodically and then go back to it. I started the series on Hoopla, which may have had 6 seasons or so. I've liked a number of other things on there and wish Inspector Ellis would add a second season. Lots of NZ and Australian stuff and it may help that I've been to both places. Scenery is gorgeous for alot of the stuff. The cost is $7/month but may be going up. I also get both Hoopla and Kanopy through my library. I'd watch more PBS but I have difficulty finding what I want to see.

I signed up yesterday and started watching this show last night. I bumped into it on live TV a few months ago but wanted to watch from the start so when I saw Acorn had it I immediately signed up for the 2 month deal. I just hope I can watch all 11 seasons in that time along with all the other shows on there that I want to watch.

I'm a bit different (well, more different than most) in that I don't care for many foreign films. Hate watching something with subtitles, just too distracting. If I have to read the dialogue I'll just read the book.
Anyway we have Hulu, Paramount+, Netflix, Prime, and a couple other smaller ones for only 1 show. Never considered Youtube but wonder if it can replace the above? Does it have current series such as NCIS?

Just watch Tubi, Sling Freestream, Prime Freevee, Pluto, Xumo, to name a few, that are free.

ALERT: Peacock Premium no longer has the Hallmark channels.
