If you search me, you'll notice I was here in 2004 to 2006. Then the market this really weird little turn, I'm sure we're all familiar with it. And my daughter lost her house. So she moved in with three little kids and I'm more employable. So I worked 2008 - May 2013 before being laid off. Worked a little bit this spring for another industry as well and made enough that I don't have to work the balance of the year. So I guess I'm either semi-retired or semi-employed, not sure which. But had a lot of fun over the summer and looking forward to getting back to travel. As to my finances, have a pension of about 30k plus a max 4% COLA, not taking SSA for another 8 years, so once I really need to stop working part time, I'll have income of around 55k a year. I know that doesn't sound like a lot compared to some other people, but I have no debt, home paid off, and investments that will give me another 24k year according to fire calc
