Index of Indexes

Hello,

This is likely the wrong terminology, but is there an index of indexes?

The thought occurred to me that yes, I've built up a nice core of S&P500 equivalents, but what if the US Market tanks?

Almost every day I'll mutter something about the United States not being #1 for long if it even still is, China being the up and coming new #1, the current generation of kids being the first one in a while where things will be harder on them than their parents, etc.

If the Us tanks I'd like my core not to tank. Is there a broader / global index fund?

Indexes or Indices?

VTSMX and POMIX as well as many other are global index funds which have really low costs and are invested across many different countries. They tend to (like total country indices) be more weighted towards large-cap, but oh well.

Oops, so is POMIX. Both of those are, just realized he was (and I) talking about global. Both those are domestic so scratch that. VTWSX was the one I was thinking about.

Is VTWSX new? I can't seem to find much of a historical performance for it.

It looks like it became available to trade June 26th. Yahoo finance has a headline here that gives this information.
