Iphone 16. DW is suggesting that we upgrade our 15's for 16's. She thinks she needs AI?

Anyone going to get the 16? And why?
 
We have no plans for a new iPhone right now but I do need a new iPad and am thinking about getting one that is AI compatible.

There’s not much current consumer need for AI but I think that will change over the next year.

That’s where I’m at. Still hoping a mini of some sort re-emerges before my 13 mini needs to be replaced.
 
If you have the iphone 15 pro models they will have some AI capabilities.
 
I ordered a 16 today to replace my 14. There are enough improvements to justify it for me, and I take enough photos that having the best camera is desirable. Historically, I’ve upgraded every two or three years. Since I also get 10% off by being a veteran, it’s not a huge cost.
 
My iPhone is two years old - plan on waiting another 2-3 years before upgrading.
 
DW just replaced her iPhone 8 last week. Upgraded all the way to a 13. But 13's were very hard to find locally, though I am sure there is more availability on line.

No interest now in a 16, my 3 or 4 year old 11 works just fine.
 
I upgrade every other year, primarily for the camera improvements. I take a good amount of photos and it’s the only camera I use, so it’s worth the upgrade.

Thanks, didn't know about the veteran's discount. I've got a 14 pro max - USB C and improved camera are worth the upgrade for me. Didn't really like the size of the max so that's another excuse to BTD.
 
I’ve pretty much made the decision to replace my aging 2020 iPhone SE with an iPhone 16, regular not the plus bigger model.

I would like a slim case for it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
 
I am eligible for a free one from T Mobile. I have a 12. Might be time to move on.

Plus recent model trade-in usually cuts the cost to around half.

DH also moved from max to regular size.
 
Just replaced DW's SE with a 16e. Her SE only had 64 Gb storage and it was full. Got her a 16e with 256 Gb so she can take and keep pictures on her phone for quite a while now.

Wife and I just bought 2 iPhone 16 Pro Max. I had an iPhone 11 that was starting to get glitches in its operation and the battery life was diminishing fast. Wife had an iPhone 13. Verizon had an offer of $829.00 per phone credit if you upgraded your phone. To be honest with you, I still didn't know everything about the 11. :)

I like these cases. They work well for me and keep the size of the phone close to original. I also use the glass screen protectors. Been very happy with that setup.

I always buy the Otterbox because they provide the best protection if you ever drop your phone.

I always keep my phones for 5-6 years but with tariffs I decided to upgrade from the 12 to the 16 after only 4 years. I really like that the phone is bigger since I read books on it.

I don't think 15 to 16 makes much sense. $400 each for 1 year of using the 15. Now the 16 is already 6+ months into the cycle.
