Has anyone tried the tax estimator at irscalculators.com? I am trying to plan withdrawals for this year and next, and was interested in your experience with the tool. Did you find it was accurate?

I only used that calculator once to compare against another....got a different answer. I much prefer the "mortgage calculator 1040". You can google it.
Gets the same answer as Taxcaster and HR Block tax calculator so pretty sure it is accurate. Also input is much easier......you don't have to do any calculations yourself.

note that the calculator is .com, not .gov, which suggests it is not from IRS.

It is not from IRS.gov.

It is missing a lot - ie :

child tax credit dependents vs. adult dependents

senior citizen higher standard deduction

adjustments to income -

But I guess if you account for those things yourself it is ok

I think this is the one kaneohe referenced above https://www.mortgagecalculator.org/calcs/1040-calculator.php
I like it because you can slide each category up or down quickly to see what kind of income affects the bottom line more.
I don't like the kind of website that doesn't lie that they are the IRS but does not make that clear. Just a quibble.

This gentleman, Glenn Reeves, updates his excel based 1040 simulator every year.

It is quite comprehensive and works terrific for me since you can edit and save different scenarios. For his work in maintaining this, I paypal him a few bucks for a beer or a burger.

Hope it helps.
