My older brother tells me I was hatched, hence the name.
Plus I'm a newbie here, so it's appropriate!
I've been lurking for a couple of months and have read lots of posts, but
please take it easy on me if I ask something that's been discussed before.
(just post a link to that topic and I'll go read it.)
I'm 34, married, no kids yet, have no plans for early retirement yet, but I do save and would like
to use that cushion to enable me to not have to worry about changing careers in
the future to whatever appeals to me at the time. But if I'm healthy, I plan
to keep working until 65 or whatever. (easy for me to say that now)
Why then am I posting here? 'Cause you all crack me up and maybe I'll
be able to add something, who knows?
I've read plenty of books and watched lots of Suze (*duck*). No Brinker though.
Actually, I don't watch Suze anymore because her ego and bad jokes became
too much for me to handle. Plus hopefully I've graduated from "Suze school".
I've just finished "four pillars", and I was just reading a new book by Ben Stein
about retirement, it's somewhat interesting, called "Yes, You Can Still Retire Comfortably".
Others I've read:
Dave Ramsey, David Bach, Kiyosaki, Jean Chatsky, Millionaire next door, Your money or your life,
Eric Tyson, Charles Schwab, Bogle, multiple streams of income, Larry Burkett and Ron Blue (Christian),
Richest man in Babylon, The Wealthy Barber, etc.
I like the lazy approach, so I have mostly index stock mutual funds.
Ouch! Oh, that was a question bubbling up, so I'll probably post some more specifics to go
with my inquisitive posting later.
Betcha just can't wait, huh?
