Hi Folks. I have learned much from reading many posts on this site over the past few years and I thank those of you who posted. And I also followed some of you here on Fido, etc. As background, I started as a biologist that got hooked on computer programming as the 80's appeared and followed that interest through a career in consulting at a few software companies that sold to pharma, biotech, and related gov't agencies. Hopefully I'll be able to add to our knowledge base over time.

Welcome and congratulations on retiring.
This is a great site.
Retirement is much more better :)

Congratulations on your retirement. It would be nice to get an insiders view on the impact of AI on future software development/sales.

Welcome to the forum MrPink. I look forward to hearing more from you.

I've been hearing/reading C-suite folks talking about implementing AI in healthcare/clinical data analysis, but I haven't seen much progress (outside of academia) yet. One reason is that healthcare data requires HIPAA protections, and I saw little interest in investing in what's needed for internal study. Possibly, when all the boomers educated pre-AI retire, a paradigm shift will occur and the next generation or two will make progress in this area.
