For the first time in a long time, I did my own taxes this year via TurboTax. I recently got a letter from the IRS saying...

We received one of the following items from you or your authorized third party on April 23rd, 2025. (I filed in mid February)
* Correspondence
* Telephone inquiry
* Payment
* Form
* Response to our inquiry or notice
* Penalty abatement request
* Installment agreement
* Other

I did get a slightly larger refund than I submitted for, as the IRS said that they calculated my refund differently than me and gave me the higher amount (about $120).

The letter said no action is required on my part, and that they would send me a complete response within 90 days.

Anyone have any idea whether this is something to be concerned about? I'm thinking it's a big nothingburger.

IRS seems "unconcerned" and they find in your favor. SO, I think I'd just wait 90 days and see what else they send. YMMV

Nothing to fear. It's just the IRS and they are here to help.

Trust me, you'll know when you're in trouble. This letter doesn't sound like trouble but I suppose I could be wrong and YMMV.
