Looking for help for an Old Mans Bicycle

Update on bike. A few days I was biking past a second hand store and this bike was out front. I stopped and it was hardly every used and it had a rear carrier rack witch was going to be on my next bike anyway. I do use my bike to pick small items up from up town and need a carrier for items when riding. It has the spring loaded support that clamps down on the object when transporting.

I asked how much, they said 5$, so the carrier was 10 times more then what I paid for the entire item.

I ended up replacing one tube so 15$ into it and is so much better then my old bike. I put on about 500 to 600 miles a year on it so nothing major and all miles within 10 miles of home.

It is a Savannah Comfort Touring - Huffy nothing fancy but my frugal genes told me this will be an upgrade and checks the boxes.

Yep, some rot and new skins will go on soon. That dark spot on rear tire at the bottom is some lubricant that I installed on gears. I have two new tires I bought for old bike last year. I replaced the tube in the back and wanted to ride it a little then will replace both tires soon.

You should be good to go with new rubber.

I would recommend that as well. I have a Ride1up 700 series ebike which is over 5 years old - still works great. I also have a Yamaha Crosscore ebike with torque sensor and other sensors for pedal assist. The 700 series is more comfortable to ride with its larger frame and wide tires. Leaning forward hunched over doesn't work for me - fingers will go numb after a while of riding, even with expensive biking gloves doesn't help. So I adjusted handlebars higher - helps a lot.

Congrats! With new tires, that bike should serve you well.
