I posted this in the Auto thread but I think it got lost and am hoping to get some feedback on the Lucid Gravity Touring EV SUV.

I'm replacing my 2023 BMW ix xdrive50 EV SUV as it will be out of warranty this fall and it has the old 8.0 UI which BMW pretty much abandoned in favor of the new 8.5. I'll be taking a test drive this weekend and am hoping to get some feedback from owners or perhaps, owners who have a friend that owns that car.

The mechanicals are excellent but software is a bit problematic although I understand they have greatly improved it over the last few months.

I will be leasing any car that I buy. The lease incentives on the Gravity are crazy good with a residual in the 60%s.

Thoughts?

I'm a biased Model S owner, but the looks and initial reviews of the Gravity are pretty compelling. I'd be tempted to put out another $15,000 for the grand touring model for power and range. The interior looks fantastic. I do like Tesla's FullServiceDriving, but I only buy it in months that I have to travel a lot. If I was in terrible traffic everyday I'd still jump on the last chance for a 2026 Tesla X or S but otherwise....

Yes, please keep us posted. I don't think I've even seen a LGT EV SUV. Interested how it w*rks for you.

Will definitely post my experience. We're retired and only drive about 5-6k miles per year in both cars! DH's is an expensive Uber :2funny: as he drives <1K/yr in it! My 3.5 year old car has 17k miles.

A good friend just picked up a Lucid Air Touring to replace his Tesla Model S. We spoke extensively about the car and experience of purchasing it (which he said has been excellent) and I can’t wait to hear how it is and go for a ride with him (or drive it myself). Best of luck with the LGT!
