Hello to all. i am 52 years old,been receiving state Medicaid for mostly 2 years,they paid my medical and medicine bills,i been disable for 2 and half years and receiving SS disability.Received a letter for SS telling me that in October this year my Medicare will start,because i been in SS disability for 2 years.my question is if anyone can tell me please: since i have State Medicaid,can i also have SS medicare at same time.My concern is that SS Medicare do not cover a lot,and i need many RX,and many of them are expensive and my income is not big.Just my diabetes prescription is $1268 a month supply.thanks

It is possible to have both.
Our disabled adult daughter has both.
Medicare is primary, medicaid is secondary.

Not sure this will be same in your case. I suggest you call the 800 medicare number.
The wait is not usually that long and I have always gotten very good help.

thanks you,the 800 number,had you used it lately,i ask because many of the federal gov office are closed and is hard to get a live person in the phone
