Hi all, I think I'm losing my mind, only kidding---- mostly.
I received my first SS check on Saturday the 5th of April for March. For some reason I pulled my Medicare file and found a bill due on 3/25/2025. I always put the bank confirmation on the bill and file it. Except this time, and I didn't pay the bill, I have not got a second bill from Medicare, (yet?). I don't know if the Medicare bill due 3/25 covering 4/1/2024 to 4/30/2035 was taken from my April 5th SS check. The other thing I don't believe I received a bill for my wife's SS, we expect her first SS check in the last week of April. The proper amount we taken out of the SS check. Does it look like I'm paid up? Any ideas?

I believe your March SS first check received in April would have covered your April Medicare premium. Doesn’t the amount show a Medicare premium deduction? When they notified you of your first SS check they should also have told you about the Medicare premium deduction.

Yes, I'm sure the Medicare premium was taken from the check, I just don't know for what month. I have the SS letter, it says it will be taken out, but not what month it pays for.

BTW to the Wizard, I'm filling out a 709 form. There is no such thing as "relax" before I have that in the mail! :)

The SS check received in April paid the April Medicare premium since it was deducted. Therefore you shouldn’t pay the 3/25/25 Medicare premium bill which would also have covered April. Hopefully you won’t get anymore Medicare premium bills now that SS is covering Medicare premiums.

You must have paid the March premium for Medicare (due by 2/25). That initial month is the one month not covered by SS benefits. Sounds like you are properly synchronized for this transition. At some point your Medicare.gov record will show all this, but may not yet be updated.
