Up until a cpl yrs ago I had worked in minerals and lived in boom towns all my working life. I consider us very blessed to have lived and worked in a boom town for it to go bust very early in our lives and it helped make us "chicken" (LBOM). I was always kinda paranoid just waiting for things to bust. Luckily kept work through some pretty good downturns. Live in a retirement/partial mineral town now. Since retired, don't watch tv or mingle much at all. Mostly do my own thing. Diner with a few aquaintances the other night with the majority of them being tied to oil. They seem to be hurting pretty badly. One of them a yr or so ago I would have sworn was a millionaire by the way he spent $. He's picking up late night side jobs now just trying to make ends meet. I hadn't barely noticed except for our gas bill being cut in half, which I have to admit we are really enjoying! Hate to see anyone suffer. I sure like not noticing these downturns anymore.
