I've always been an Amos fan - he was excellent in Roots. RIP

Geesh already. :(

I used to watch the show. It was amazing what stuff is out there. Frank had a way of making the process of negotiation fun. Too bad he's gone so young.

It's really sad to see legends like John Amos and Frank Fritz go. Rest in peace to both of these incredible individuals. 💔

John Amos was great. I loved him in Coming to America which ironically also starred James Earl Jones.

Being a picker myself I love American Pickers and loved Frank in that though I tend to be more like Mike myself.

Anyone who watched American Pickers when Frank Fritz was in the show, will understand it when I say, he would have loved this forum.

It seems like late September, October, November are high time for deaths. Maybe the cooler weather, more indoors time, less sunlight, less activity.

I know in my family, my grandparents all passed in the October, November timeframe. Maybe just randomly un-random.

I know even changing the time for Daylight Savings has an effect. Circadian and Ultradian rhythms thrown off kilter.

It seems the famous go in groups.
But death happens every day.

May they RIP

I don't think of myself as superstitious, but the "rule of 3's" seems to fit more often than not.

John Amos actually died August 21st. Due to squabbling among his children, his son did not post about his death until more than a month later.

Now, that is really sad. I hate it when relatives squabble when a family member passes. We were so fortunate (both DW and I) that there were no squabbles when our parents passed. Of course, there was virtually nothing left, so it was more or less moot. Still, I think I mentioned a guy at w*rk who went back to court because the court awarded his X with the rounded penny on an equal cash settlement. You can't make this stuff up!

Really? I know he’s mentioned he doesn’t trust the stock market and wants to buy things “he can hold”. He also had money problems a few years back.

The scene where John Amos sics the dog on the former boyfriend is hilarious! Seen it a 100 times and still laugh.
