My wife and I both received an email from the DoD Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) that they are transitioning to a new login process for MilConnect. Something called myAuth. Simple question: for real or a phishing email?
TIA

Don't know about DMDC, but my wife and I routinely access MilConnect and have not received an email saying anything about changing the login process.

A little searching makes it look legit, but this is the first I've heard of it.
I've used login.gov and id.me for years without problem. Perhaps this is a new version.

Yes, the MilConnect login is transitioning to use a new login system called myAuth. This transition is scheduled to begin on May 20, 2025, with MilConnect and ID Card Office Online (IDCO) being the first applications to use the new login system. Over time, all Department of Defense (DoD) applications that currently use DS Logon will also be transitioned to myAuth.

What you need to know:
Phased rollout:
The transition will happen in phases, with MilConnect and IDCO leading the way.

New login page:
You will notice a new login page and a streamlined account creation process.

DS Logon for other apps:

I got the email today as well. myAuth is replacing the DS Logon system. The only big deal is that it will be using a new app, Okta Verify.
