Anyone else get one of these via USPS? They sent me $1 and promised "up to $20 per person" if I took their survey and reported my travel on some day. . . It does appear legitimate thing that started Nov 2024 and runs for a year. . . National Household Travel Survey

A little curious what it asks but probably not enough to actually take the survey . . . IDK. I'll let it sit here for a day or two before I decide if it is going in the trash.

I don't waste time/money shredding junk mail.
I have a grocery bag for it. After a few weeks, the full bag goes out to be picked up...

I get the feeling that if you haven't received one yet, you're not likely to get one.

From the website:
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has launched the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS). The survey will be conducted from November 2024 to November 2025. Households will be sampled using a scientific process and those selected to participate in the survey will receive details in the mail. For more information, please go to NHTS2024.com.

We shred all envelopes showing our name and address and all junk mail...usually without opening any of them. Requests from charities we support asking for additional $...a particular pet peeve pf mine...also get shredded. Takes just a few seconds. Electrical cost is negligible.

Mine just came today so IDK when they mailed. I was skeptical it was a "real" $1 but sems to be. It did it's job I guess it got me to open the mail.

I have not received that. I am not sure what is included in the survey (I didn't click on the link) but would not provide an necessary party with information about my travel plans.

It looks like it wants only 24 hours of data if what I skimmed through was correct but I didn't think they needed it and threw it out. . . Seems a little weird to me.

Mine never makes it in the house. It goes straight into the recycle trash can in the garage on the way back into the house. Seeing my name and address is everywhere out there already, and has been for years, I don't care about trashing the junk mail intact.
