NAV Erosion vs Dividends

Not sure if you would care. It's all just cash flows at the end of the day. It's a fund and exchanged at NAV and not an ETF exchanged at market values?
Not sure I understand your question. These are the YieldMax ETFs. I'm not completely clear on how they calculate the nav but I read somewhere that it's slightly different from regular stocks.

My current plan is to just see how far these things will go. Best case: I get all my investment returned via dividends and then it shifts to cap gains. Worse case: a nice TLH after reaping some nice dividends.

There's really no where else you can put in a grand and get 50-100 bucks a month back in cash. After a year or so, you're even, even if the nav completely depletes (it won't) and you still get your cash payout.
And, most are ROC classified, so it's tax friendly for taxable accounts instead of taking cap gains or 1099div for tax purposes.

I'm still in acquisition mode and dripping everything. Others say thats not wise. I agree, but i don't have time to manage all my holdings for the better time to buy. i average in and each week or month, i get more shares.

I started small. original goal was 100 shares of each of the first 10 they came out with. I lost track of how many there are now and i don't own the newer ones. but i also ventured out into Rex, graniteshares, yeildboost, kurv, and a few other players in the space as well. buy a bit, drip for a bit, when it comes time to take some cash, hopefully it's still there paying out, turn off drip, instant cash.

Now, a few are over 700 shares after being in them for a few years with no cash adding to most after a few initial purchases in small lots (10s and 25s)

Even with nav depletion on many/most, i'm still up 90s% in 2 years.

except for mrny. lol lost 90% there. but, it's MRNA's fault, that stock went down the tubes. not YM's fault.
and it still pays me $50 a month and maybe someday MRNA will make a new drug and it will come back and i'll have a ton of lots in the pennies, just like i do with Fannie and Freddie. Feeling like Scrooge McDuck lately from those girls :)
