The old software had a useful feature that is lacking in this current software.

In the old software, when the "Submit Reply" button is pressed, the thread is checked to make sure no new reply had been added while you were writing. If one or more replies have been submitted in that window, the software gives you a chance to read the new replies and modify yours before the final submission.

If that feature is available, please have it activated.

I second that (or maybe third if someone else posted while I typed).

That sure was a handy feature. Especially since it takes me a while to try to put my thoughts into print, so they make at least a little bit of sense.

I have to say that I never liked that feature, and had even asked if there was a way around it. Here's why: sometimes I want to click on the "Submit Reply" button and then immediately go somewhere else on the web (to a new page or a different topic) or even turn off the computer. When I did that, and there had been another post while I was typing, my post would be lost. As a result, I'd have to Submit, then wait to make sure I didn't get the warning, then click again.

IOW, I like to click the Submit Reply button and know that no matter what, my important and insightful stuff got onto the board.
