NFL 2024

... I watched patiently for the inevitable outcome, whereas the millenials were jumping up, pacing, and expecting a come-back.
I get it, but given Mahommes and the Chiefs history of comebacks and pulling rabbits out of the hat I can understand why some were expecting a comeback, particularly after the couple late 2nd half scores by the Chiefs. But like you, I thought the Eagles could coast it in, which they did.

I think the Eagles coasting in, is what allowed those 2nd half scores by the Chiefs.

There was a very late 3rd quarter score, with two more in the 4th quarter. These td's happened as our team was exchanging starters for replacements. Brandon Graham came in after not playing most of the season, for example.

There was no coasting. There's a video of Barkley continually encouraging players on the sidelines to play with 0-0 mentality.

Not the way I saw it happen. Clear to me the Eagles backed off.

Now do Minneapolis/St. Paul...

The last world championship this area had was the 1991 Minnesota Twins. This is the longest championship drought of any city that has all four major pro sports teams. Before that it was the 1987 Minnesota Twins. That's it for championships around here.

The Vikings have lost four Super Bowls and six NFC championship games.

The Timberwolves have been awful for so long no one believes their run to the NBA Western Conference finals last year will be repeatable.

The Minnesota Wild? For a place that is called the State of Hockey, they have been bitter disappointments year after year.
Don't you get to count that Stanley Cup that the Stars won five years after they left Minnesota for Dallas? And what about all those championships the Lakers won in LA. Must count for something.

By that standard, The Browns won a Superbowl in 2001 :) ,

Yes, everyone sees a different game. I watched for a fourth time yesterday. Next time I watch I'll look for how many subs were made. Maybe there's a source online.

I also watched videos that showed mic'd up players, like Barkley. Hurts was somber near the end, still the stoic. Someone remarked, "You can smile now."

I caught an older video from this season. It was the one when Sirianni went up to Barkley, and he answered, "Let the young ones eat."

So many great moments for a great team. People were lining up to take the train in as early as 530AM. I'll be okay watching the parade from home. The 2017 SB parade was exhausting.

Of course there are many fans, like my wife and her sister. I'm taking them to the train later for a jaunt into town. My wife will proudly wear her father's Eagles jacket.

What a great day to celebrate!

That game was over at 1/2 time. KC had zero momentum. I had no skin in the game other than hoping for a close nail biter. I have mixed emotions about the outcome. Congrats to Philly. Not a good time for KC to have that bad of a game.

Article in local newspaper, showcasing the mood of the Vikings fans. I did not read the article because I don't fall for clickbait.
