NFL 2024

Detroit has an elite offense. Should be a fun game to watch the Vikings beat them next weekend. This week I just relaxed and split some firewood as the team was on the bye resting.
No doubt, next week is an important game that should be great to watch. From a Lions fan point of view, it will frame the rest of the season. Can't wait to watch it and am looking (hoping) for a similar outcome as what happened tonight in Dallas. Historically, you just never know which Lions team is going to show up. Go Lions!

They did look pretty good. The Cowboys against Detroit, not so much!
I think a good high school football team could have beaten the Cowboys yesterday the way they played. I wonder how Jerry Jones feels about Dak's new $240m contract now?

Whenever I hear Jerry speak, “cogent analysis” is not the phrase that comes to mind.

I hope Goff’s four-year, $212 million extension pays off.

Watson's $230,000,000 5 year contract with Cleveland is not paying off either.
I was reading an article that said he is now the worst QB in the NFL.... and past players were shocked how quickly his skill went away...

BUT, they might have had a chance to get out of the contract since another lady came forward saying 'rape' or something like that... the article then said that he quickly settled the claim and that nothing will happen with the NFL...

Sooo, pay her a mill and keep the $200 mill or so that is left...

I came here with hat in hands expecting to read several cowboy bashing posts after the terrible start and yesterday’s debacle. But I didn’t find the expected cowboy bashing I’m used to seeing. Nothing seems to bring joy to other team fans as much as dumping on the cowboys.
Maybe they’ve been so bad for so long now that all the jokes are used up. Or the jokesters are just exhausted. Either option is perhaps a worse indictment of the cowboys than any stated joke could ever be.

The refs tried to give it the Jets with that Rodgers fumble being called an incomplete pass, have to agree with Aikman about that, but the Bills still win it.

This guy is just fun to watch run over people.

The Cowboys have a recent history of QBs who put up great stats, but don’t win when it matters. Romo, Prescott…must drive Jerry nuts. The Meredith, Staubach, White, Aikman years are long gone. The Cowboys was my favorite team until Romo.

I also thought A Rogers was the best QB in the NFL until about 2020. Now I am happy to see him lose - but no need to elaborate - we all have our unique preferences and biases. He had a lot of playoff disappointments at GB too, other than 2010-11 obviously. At least he won one unlike Romo or Prescott.

Well it was a win but it was ugly. Nothing definitive came out of that game except that I think Detroit wants it just a bit more. That last touchdown by the Vikings nearly sealed the deal. Glad we had a little more time left on the clock to rescue that game.

Texans squeak out and win today's game by 3 points in another barn burner..

Washington and Chicago, ~70 yd hail mary with time expired. A tip ball and in zone catch. You just never know.

Yep - it amazed me that Chicago did not have at least one DB trailing the "jump" pile... even in high school football we learned to do that.

Great ending. Rooting for Washington only because Chicago is in our division and I wanted them to lose. Never thought I’d see an ending like that as a payoff for watching the game.

Go Lions!

Wow Wow Wow. Commanders rookie QB ‘s Hail Mary game winner.

The Bills are looking good. The Chiefs manage to scrape out another win to stay undefeated. Vikings go from undefeated to losing two straight.

I can't believe the Bears lost like that. They seem to always figure out a way, though.

Yes, that was an unexpected outcome right up to the moment. It seems likely their very excellent season will continue.

Eagles came up with a nice result, and it was against the Bengals who were favored.

Especially after Chicago clawed their way back from down 12-0, to take the lead at 15-12 with 0:23 on the clock. There was no way Wash should have been allowed to score with 0:23 left, especially on a Hail Mary - hilarious. :2funny:

Didn't help that the Bears decided to pass on 1st down (which was incomplete and stopped the clock) on their last possession. There's video out that the Bears player who tipped the ball on the Hail Mary pass was busy trolling the Washington fans then ran late to play defense and tipped the ball perfectly for the loss.
