Hey folks - we've just had a glitch with the Early Retirement Forum newsletter and some of you will or already have received multiple copies. We're sorry about the glitch and for your inconvenience and have fixed the underlying issue but the newsletters already in the pipeline can't be retracted. Please just delete the extra copies (or consider forwarding them to friends who may need LBYM help). Thanks again for your patience.

No problem. Makes a nice liner for my bird cage. :D

There once was a forum newsletter
It kept getting better and better
They sent one too many
‘cause it doesn’t cost a penny
A case of newsletters unfettered

Wait, there's a newsletter? Really? (Checks calendar...nope, not 4/1.)

I've been a member here for a long time and never knew about a newsletter. Is there a signup to get it or something?

This is where it was announced
https://www.early-retirement.org/forums/f32/er-org-weekly-newsletter-read-all-about-it-92416.html

Post 21 describes how it might be turned off and on. The following posts go into more detail on where to find and execute the instruction.

Go to your User Control Panel and see if the "Receive Email from Our Community" box is checked.

If it is, you should have received the newsletter.

If you didn't, check your spam folder. A few people have found it there.

I got all excited, thinking I could just turn off the newsletter (which I only want to do because I've already read the posts in each one, obviously)! But that post describes how to turn off ALL forum email, which would include the notices for my subscribed threads. :( (It's fine, I can delete the newsletters, I just didn't want anyone else to go hunting in vain.)

I have the option described above turned off and I do not receive the weekly newsletter.

Thread subscription notifications are a separate option, if you scroll down ever so slightly from the option described above.
