Part D TrOOP for drug not on formulary (but exception granted)

If you look at population level outcomes the system is poor. Granted it works better for people who have money and the means to work around the limitations. I have elderly relatives who lack the mental acuity to shop around for the best prices for drugs or insurance plans.
I'd have to see data and I have no idea what you are comparing the "American system" to. N Korea? UK? Canada? Belgium? Asia? Africa? South America? Europe?

Not trying to be contentious but I just don't see how you conclude that we have a lousy system (in terms of outcome). Lot of reasons (some political) that doom us to paying a LOT for our health care.

The comparison countries are hard to read due to font size but include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K.
