Confused about dryer sheets
Greetings! I learned about this site from reading a Bogleheads post about alternative financial discussion forums. I have been a frequent visitor and contributor to that great site for many years, but sometimes frustrated about site rules.
I've been fully retired since the pandemic hit, but sold my consulting business over 10 years ago while continuing to do some occasional work that did not conflict with my sales agreement. My wife and I are fortunate to be FI and pretty confident in our our ability to weather any financial storm.
I'm about to enter several zones for the first time, including:
1. RMDs
2. Paying for CCRC entrance fee and deciding how to accomplish.
3. After self-managing our accounts, handing them to a bank trust department as a means of protecting my wife and I. (Not soon, but I know the time will come in the next 5-10 years)
4. Facing more limitations on what this always-physically active person can accomplish
5. Need to revisit the terms of the trust we set up a few years ago and make some additions and deletions.
I'll eventually return to the fora for insights and contributions, but that is all for now.
Thanks for being here!
